Means a Latte

 

True Story, the gas price fluctuated 50¢ between my last two fill-ups. Granted, the cheaper price was at a Buc-ee's so bulk discount and all that. But still, $5 is a latte. 

Explanation: "lot" and "latte" sound similar. $5 is an average price for a coffee (I assume, as I am a tea drinker).

B: When getting ten gallons, it's $5 cheaper there. That might not seem like much, but it's actually a latte. *holding coffee*

Wrong Gas

 

Trying to explain to my kid that we have different names for how the gas exits our body... Never thought I'd have that conversation. The joy of being a parent - so many unexpected conversations.

Shark Shutout

 

So we were driving along and saw a sign for all-you-can-eat sushi, which straight up does not sound like a great idea, but then my husband made it worse and this comic was spawned. I once had a coworker who would take the occasional gamble and have gas station sushi for lunch. He thought I was in the same boat one lunch but I gently corrected him with "no, this is from Wegmans." I don't gamble with seafood. 

Shark Tank is a show where people with ideas pitch said ideas to people with money and try to get their idea to happen. Not all ideas are good ideas.

Gaslighting

Happy early Birthday to my brother who gave me the idea for this comic! I think the appliances version of this comic works best, but I originally wrote it as people since that's my default mode. Please note that gaslighting is not a nice thing and you shouldn't do it. 

Explanation: Gaslighting is a form of manipulation, but also it's a type of stovetop (as opposed to electric).
