Double Standard
Pun pun pun. I was thinking about how that would work, like would it depend on the situation which gear would matter? When on this terrain, the shifter on the left takes precedence, but otherwise it's the one on the right... It'd be super confusing, just like double standards!

Tax Forms
Every year, we think there has to be a better way to do this. So many forms, so much paperwork. If you're in the midst of doing your taxes, you must have gotten an extension.

Known By Their Fruit
We have a guest speaker at our church going through the book of James currently. I figured most people (including me) don't even know what a fig looks like in its natural form (they don't grow in newton form) so I went with more common fruits.

Insults
We have a guest speaker at our church going through the book of James and we are in chapter three. This choice insult may have been used by some siblings after being told that we couldn't use mean words like 'stupid' or 'idiot' (followed the letter of the law - we were not told not to use this one).

World of Iniquity
"To our right, we see a world of iniquity, we're not stopping there."
We have a guest speaker at our church going through the book of James (links in the previous post). I came up with some doodles/illustrations, and also posted some notes on my other blog.

Blue Whale Tongue
We have a guest speaker at our church going through the book of James and we have made it to chapter three (which talks about the tongue). Blue whales are very unique creatures and fascinating. Their newborns are larger than most full-grown animals. Their age is gauged by the layers of earwax. They are among the loudest animals on the planet. They are larger than all known dinosaurs.

Looking sharp
I'm sure he's never heard that one before.
I tried to get the expressions right - the cheesy grin of the pun-sayer and the defeated look of the pun-receiver.
I remember eating swordfish as a kid (we had a lot of fish in our diet, which was cool since that's healthy and there's a wide variety) - I liked it. It's a lot meatier than the usual white fish like tilapia or haddock.
Text:
G: Hi Mr. Swordfish! You're looking sharp today!
S: *sigh* ... yep.

The Princess is in Another Castle
A play on the saying "plenty of fish in the sea" and the old "the princess is in another castle" but when you live in a fish bowl, you have limited access to castles (usually just one).
We've been playing the Legend of Zelda recently and it got me thinking about the games I played growing up. We would play Super Mario 3 on the old NES, with the rectangle controllers and 8-bit graphics. Good times.
Text:
Luigi: No worries - I'm sure the perfect girl is out there for you.
Mario: You're right, Luigi. I'll check the castle again.

Sweetie Pie
Have you watched the Great British Bake Off? It is an excellent show - so positive and everything looks very tasty. I thought this up after watching a few episodes.
