Linguistics Society


Did you know there are word pairs where we just use the one half but technically the other side is still a word but it's become archaic? These are called Unpaired Words and I find this fascinating.

L: How are we feeling today, folks?
Crowd: Corrigible.
Kempt.
Couth.
Whelmed.
Gruntled.
Ruly.
