Happy Birthday to my niece!
So I thought this up after Halloween last year and held onto it for a whole year and what do you know, October 13 is indeed a Friday! Celebrate by.... asking people who come to your house to give you candy? That would be a surprise to the solicitor. 

Explanation: Halloween is on October 31, and if you reverse those numbers you get 13. If you flip the word "Halloween" backwards you get "Neewollah." And Friday the 13th is traditionally unlucky, which fits the Halloween vibe of black cats and such.

Pumpkin Guards

 

So I have some little pumpkins on my front step because it's Fall and I started with four little gourds but then my husband asked about the number because he only saw three when he came in the house so I went and checked and there were only two!!! And then later there was only one left, and it had some bites taken out of it. So I have these little terracotta hedgehogs and I put them on either side of the last remaining pumpkin and while several more bites have been taken out of it, it hasn't been carried away! I have gotten more pumpkins to bring the number back to four, but kept the hedgehogs guarding (gourding?) the group and so far they are all still there so yay!

Gourds

 

"Either way, you are gourdeous!" 

This is my attempt at drawing a butternut squash and an acorn squash. But the butternut could be more of a oblong gourd because I think I drew it a bit too skinny. I'm pretty sure I've done a comic about a pumpkin being gourdeous but I can't find it just now, so either I forgot to upload it or I didn't label it properly. Oh well. I like gourds! Pumpkins on my porch, squash roasting in my oven, doing some pumpkin carving at some point, Autumn is excellent!

Pumpkin Eater

That probably means he keeps his wife in a pumpkin shell, but apparently he can keep her very well there? I think that is odd and not a good housing situation.
I like how my pumpkin pie turned out, I am not sure I have ever actually baked a pumpkin pie.

I thought this up after buying tickets to travel somewhere (probably CT) and I don't upgrade because it's a short trip and I'm not a large person so the tiny space is fine usually. Speaking of travel, head over to my other blog to see my thoughts on two popular ways to travel.

Bumkin

It's a throw-back to when I first transitioned to digital and was experimenting with not hand-drawing but rather typing and using shapes. I do like the nicely rounded circles and very straight lines, but there's a charm to hand-drawing.
