Mary and Bright

May your days be...
Hey, it's a throw-back to the white-board days!

Cheer Mongering

A throw-back to the pre-digital, pre-whiteboard days! Somehow this one didn't get published last year.

Dead Phone

My phone decided to give up the ghost today (it bricked itself in church this morning). It saddens me :( Tech support confirmed that it is a goner - it won't even turn on (I could force it to the boot loader screen but when I cleared my data then it totally bricked itself). Good news is my new phone should be here tomorrow.

Annoying the New Elders

My husband became an Elder this year so this is really belated.

Bad Life Decisions

Remember to make smart choices. Never brake on a turn when it's icy.

Inner Beings

Happy almost birthday to my sister!
I thought this one up at a ladies retreat - the devotional was on Ephesians 3 but that's where the similarity ends.

One in a Million

This would be a different take on the movie 300, but it's just 300 identical people in America.

Continental Breakfast

It would be cool to really do this and have seven tables with each table having breakfast foods from that continent. Antarctica would be freeze-dried food that the scientists eat in the research stations there.

Fish World Problems: Jellyfish

I'm not a fan of abbreviating jealousy to jelly, but that's a hard word to spell. I'm also not a fan of jellyfish - too many in the water by my grandma's house when I was little.

Fish World Problems: Anemone

Anemone is hard to spell.
Also, I have done Forest World Problems in the past but now we're going below sea level.

Waffles for Politicians

Yay it's not a major election year! So I can post about politicians without people drawing (haha) connections to actual people.
Do your research and vote if you have the opportunity.

Changing Caterpillar

I think I've drawn butterflies the same way my whole life. I should probably try to draw them more realistically at some point. But then again, I draw stick figures for people. Keep it simple :)

Octobear Baby

We can't get through October without the Octobear appearing!
There aren't that many movie titles with the word 'October'. I've already done the Hunt for Red Octobear.
The actual movie, October Baby, is quite good.

Java Magic Beans

Yay programming!
Happy day-after-her-Birthday to my sister-in-law!

Talking With Your Hands

I felt the tiles needed to be numbered to show the flow. I would like to make a comic where the four tiles work any way you read them, but I'm not there yet.
Also, Happy Birthday to my brother-in-law who is one month younger than me!

Moderate Tones vs Screaming

Was debating writing "ICE CREAM" or "I SCREAM" - I feel it could work either way. Also considered not having the ice cream say anything but I think many wouldn't get it.

Barge In With A Fog Horn

Is there another way to barge in? Much better than tugboating in.
Happy day-after-your-Birthday-party to my nephew!

Special Comic for my Sister

I drew this a while ago, before switching to digital. Happy Anniversary to them!!!

Hope Not Warranted BC

Guest post by my other niece! This is her interpretation of Sunday's comic (she is more of a writer than a cartoonist).

TRex CPR

And now for a break from our "Totally Different Movies" series. We will resume at some point because I have more ideas.

Totally Different Movies: The Wizard of Oz

I have seen this one. And this concludes the current run of this series! I'm sure I can think up some more, but sometimes variety is good.

Totally Different Movies: Soylent Green

As I'm doing this series, I'm realizing how many classic movies I have not seen (this one included). But I already know the basic plot so... why bother watching?
