Updated Sayings: Ding Dongs for Thee

 enable images please

Yeah, it doesn't sound quite so somber or heavy. This is an update of John Donne's poem "For Whom the Bell Tolls." Granted, the bell in question is ringing out for a funeral I believe. The ding-dong cart (also called an ice cream truck) is a much happier tune. And again, please use this phrase whenever you can and report back on its reception.

Text:
A: We need to update some sayings.
B: Ask not for whom the ding-dong cart ding-dongs - it ding-dongs for thee!
A: Let's workshop it.

Jingle Baal Rock

 enable images please

That's the Jingle Baal, that's the Jingle Baal, that's the Jingle Baal Rock! I keep typing "ball" instead of "baal" because one of those words is much more common that the other. Also this comic brings to mind someone else's post about Lord of the Rings with a Jingle Balrog.

Explanation: stone=rock, Canaanite idol=Baal, festive sleigh bells=jingle.

Text:
A: Why does your stone Canaanite idol have festive sleigh bells?
L: That's my jingle Baal rock.
