Indecisive

 

If you say someone is on the fence about something, what kind of fence do you picture? One of those natural wood, neighbor-dividing ones that Garfield the cat would caterwaul upon? Or a white picket fence that you'd have to balance daintily on? Some sort of wrought iron type? So many options.

Explanation: he's being indecisive about being called indecisive. That is a difficult word to spell.

Advanced Deflection

Sometimes you just don't want to answer but you can't not answer so you come up with a way to have more time. I could have had the first guy respond with "Do you know where I could find him?" instead of "ok" but I just thought of that while typing this up and I'd have to think of how the second panel would go. Maybe just the two of them staring at each other in silence. That could be funny.
