Stuck Stick

 enable images please

Happy Mother's Day! You never know what you'll need to tell your kids next. Did not think I'd be instructing my two-year-old to not uproot trees, yet here we are. He was trying with all his might to get that stick.

Text:
O: Stick STUCK!!!
L: That's a baby tree, buddy. Don't uproot the sapling.

TotK Trees

 please enable images

This is a video game reference, so if you haven't played The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, maybe just skip this comic. I think it is a beautiful game with excellent gameplay and nicely expanded characters from the earlier Breath of the Wild game.

Explanation: there are some bad trees in TotK, and when you start the game it's like OH NO WHAT IS THAT but by the end you're like UGH AGAIN why.

Text:
Title: Post-TotK
Z: Of course the trees are alive, Link, why are you warnting me about that??
L: ...

Wedding Doodles, Part 2

Enable images!

More doodles from my trip to my cousin's wedding. These just happened into my mind while there, and have nothing to do with the events of the weekend. The first one is a reference to the Untitled Goose Game, which I have not played but saw many references to when it was quite popular a while back. The first comic is a play on this idiom, and the second comic is a play on this idiom

Text of First Comic:
A: You know the saying, what's good for the goose -
B: Is bad for the villagers.
A: ...What?!
Goose: *holding knife in beak*

Text of Second Comic:
A: It's like they say, you can't see the forest -
B: Due to rising pollution.

Becoming the Christmas Tree

Now that it's after Thanksgiving, it's time to decorate for Christmas! If you wrap up your Christmas lights around a cardboard roll (or even a rolled up magazine), it helps them not tangle and it's still a fairly compact way to store them.

Text:
M: I was trying to untangle the lights, but now I am the tree.
L: TINSEL!

Known By Their Fruit

We have a guest speaker at our church going through the book of James currently. I figured most people (including me) don't even know what a fig looks like in its natural form (they don't grow in newton form) so I went with more common fruits.

A Wedge Driven Between

Literally.
I wonder how often lumberjacks make this joke.

BIG NEWS! This is my 450th comic. Wow. Here's to 450 more?
