Buffet Your Car
I don't know why I found this humorous but I thought of it during a sermon on I Corinthians 4. Don't buffet your car - do buff it after you wash and wax. How do you know if you're getting beat up (buffet) or getting an endless meal (buffet)? The difference is if you pronounce the 't' or not.
And now I'm trying to think of the hymn that mentions 'buffet' and it's "It Is Well" -
"Though Satan should buffet,
though trials should come,
let this blest assurance control,
that Christ hath regarded my helpless estate,
and hath shed His own blood for my soul."
Text:
A: "Why are there dents in my car after you waxed it?"
B: "You said to buffet it."
A: "BUFF!"
