Is Silly String a thing anymore? It was rather popular when I was a youth. Did this character just rebrand spray cheese? Maybe. Don't go falling for any tricks today. Happy Birthday Eve to my sister! I remember when she had her birthday party on this auspicious holiday one year and our neighbor gave her a gift-wrapped boulder the size of a desktop computer tower. It was memorable.

So Chick-Fil-A had these Conversation Starter sets as the prize in 4+ kids meals, and we got some a few times before I remembered that they weren't doing the Peaceable Kingdom games anymore (those are great for my preschooler - not so much for the conversation starters).

Stay as Long as You'd Like

 

Our two hours of enjoyment have expired and we are ready to go home. There are definite perks to being an introvert couple, like we're both ready to leave a party after the same rather short time, but it is hard when neither of us want to go to a thing but we should go to the thing. It was looking like our preschooler might be an extrovert, but she recently has been asking "why are we going out and about?" and wanting to stay home so maybe things are changing. 

Explanation: The host is encouraging everyone to stay and socialize, but the couple has drained their social batteries and will not be swayed.

Hobnob

I thought this up when a coworker was describing some parents at his kid's school but I forget the specifics. I'm not sure if this is the image he was going for, but it's what I got out of it. But I think both a monocle and top hat are needed to truly hobnob. Apparently hobnob just means to associate with or to drink sociably, but in my mind it means a fancy sort of that.

Bridle Shower

I thought this up for a friend's bridal shower but I got her proper gifts from her registry, as those would be more appreciated than horse tackle. It's like bringing flours to a floral party - depending on the person, punny can be appropriate but you really have to know them. And even then, still don't turn life into a joke. Maybe. But make a punny card.
