Daughter Glasses

 enable images!
My sister gave us a pair of toddler sunglasses and my girl loves to wear them around the house. Sometimes she wears them outside but it's usually indoors. I've had to repair them a few times because she is not gentle with them, but they do bring her a lot of joy.

Bear Optometry

 enable images

Happy belated Birthday to my niece!
There's a song about a bear who went over a mountain to see what he could see. And that's about the whole song, you just repeat that a bunch. OH apparently there's a second verse that says all that he could see was the other side of the mountain. How riveting. And now I'm thinking about that joke that says not all construction jobs have the same level of excitement - enlarging holes is boring but fastening things together with small pieces of metal is riveting. Also, did you get the pun in the doctor's name? I heard it in a tv show, I think it was Heroes. I am failing to find my source because there are a lot of real-world "doctors" who are considered "heroes" who are named "Seymour" and/or "Clearly" so I need to up my search parameters. Or just take my word for it - I'm pretty sure they show a business card with that name on it.

Explanation: A bear with poor eyesight needs glasses so he can go over a mountain to see what he can see, like the song says.

Short-Sighted Plans

Need some Lasik

Happy New Years Eve! Wishing all the best for 2021. Maybe have some long-term plans, but also short-term ones are good. I haven't seriously considered Lasik, but it would be nice to not need glasses. I use to wear contacts most of the time, but since the Lockdowns started I have been sticking with my glasses. No sense putting in contacts if I'm just staying around the house? But contacts are nicer when wearing a mask since they don't fog up.

A: Why did she tell me to Lasik my plans?
B: I'm guessing they're short-sighted.

Contact-Less Society

Hahaha but seriously, I was putting off going to my optometrist to get my eyes checked and get new contacts and then the Pandemic hit and everything's closed and I am in my last box of contacts and I've just been wearing my glasses most days because I don't care and since I'm staying home, i.e. not wearing a mask, glasses are just easier and I can take them off when I take a nap.
I saw a tip about how to stop your glasses from fogging when you're wearing a mask - make sure the part around the nose is tight so your exhaled air goes down instead of up. Also, you can wash your glasses in the sink with soap and water! I did not know this. They are so sparkly now. Well, they were. They were nice and sparkly for a few hours then they went the way of all glasses and somehow smears started appearing.

L: We've become a contact-less society!

Glasses Swap

Sometimes sharing is caring, but sometimes things can't be shared. I couldn't figure out how to draw glasses on him - it seems flounders are not made to wear glasses. Hammerheads are not made to wear glasses either. But I did see a Liz Climo cartoon where a hammerhead wore a t-shirt and his eyes were out the arm holes.
