A repost from 2017. Happy Easter! This is from way back when I was drawing my comics with a pencil then pen then scanning it in and trimming it down then posting. It was a bit more labor-intensive than drawing digitally and posting. But I like the look. I also like Robin Egg candies (chocolate-covered malt balls with a candy coating).

Amid the candies and secular wrappings of this holiday, take time to remember the truth that He is Risen Indeed - Jesus is alive! He came to earth to live a sin-less life and be the perfect sacrifice to take away the sins of the world. He died on the cross and three days later rose again, overcoming death and the grave. Hallelujah, Christ Arose! Find a Bible-based church near you to find out more.

Fun fact: my SW comics are a mix of Star Wars and Snow White ones - I should really name them differently to keep them distinct.

Repost: Robin Eggs

Way back in 2012 (wow, 12 years ago!), I came up with one of my favorite comics of all time and yes this is it. I also really like Robin Egg candies so I'm a little biased on this. I didn't come up with a new Easter comic this year because it's hard to get specific ideas, and I usually get them after the holiday and have to write them up and save for the next year.

A Spinosaurus for Christmas Repost

I originally posted this one on Dec 25, 2018 and it's one of my favorite Christmas comics. I like the Spinosaurus - it has a cool history of discovery and I recommend a deep dive if you have the time.

Twelve Days of Christmas Repost

 

This one was originally posted way back on December 8, 2012! And it took me a while to find it because my search wasn't working and I also didn't write much on the posts back then so I needed to remember the title and I did not. I know there's symbolism in this song but when you think of the gifts in actuality, it's a bit weird. Also I recall reading somewhere that gifting someone 13 waterfowl is not an act of true love, but rather an act of violence, especially since the geese were in nesting mode. And that's just the waterfowl! There's nine more birds, for a total of 22 bird gifts. Most people could not handle that.

A repost from Dec 23, 2021. A throwback to a song that I misheard the lyrics of until a few years ago, so that's like thirty years of thinking reindeer had paws for some reason.

Green Sleeves Repost

 

A repost from Dec 18, 2016.There were a few years (2015-2017) when I used a whiteboard instead of drawing my comics. Before this, I would draw (on paper! with pencil then pen!) and scan in and crop each image and it was tedious but I do like physically drawing things. After the whiteboard era, I went digital. It's much simpler and I like how it looks, even if it doesn't have all the feeling of a hand-drawn comic. But I still hand-draw cards when the need arises. 

Explanation: The Christmas song "What Child Is This?" uses the tune "Greensleeves."

Thanksgiving Repost

 

Happy Thanksgiving!

This was originally posted back in 2019. I often struggle with making comics for a given holiday before the holiday - I usually get ideas when celebrating said holiday but at that point it's too late so I have to write down the idea in a place where I can find it in a year. 

Explanation: Turkey Recovery Day (the day after Thanksgiving) is for people recovering from eating too much food. Turkeys don't recover on that day because they have been eaten the day before.
